The Harmony Health team, believe that the human being is an amazing machine which cannot
separate mind from body and is always striving towards health and balance.
When this innate healing is compromised, dysfunction and disease can develop. The gentle,
safe and effective techniques used by the Harmony Health team, work to remove physical &
emotional restrictions, allowing the body’s natural healing mechanisms to take over, thus facilitating
a return to wellness.
Body Work, both Remedial Massage and Osteopathy are holistic treatments,
meaning they look at the body as a whole, as well as the specific area where the symptoms are felt.
The aim with all body work is to find and address the cause of the discomfort or disorder, not only the symptoms.
At the initial consultation, we will ask about your lifestyle, ie.
jobs, sport, age, eating and drinking habits, posture, relevant hobbies,
medical history etc. This information, combined with a brief postural observation,
helps us to determine the relevant techniques for each consultation.
Touch is a most effective form of healing. The energy which flows through the hands can refresh,
regenerate and revitalise. Massage and osteopathy can bring about beneficial physical and psychological
changes and restore balance to the body as a whole.

| Sarah Bahar-Gowans |
I have been working part time as a remedial massage
therapist for over 6 years, and have recently increased my focus,
to full time massaging. Having worked with the body for some time,
I see there are links between the emotions, thoughts & beliefs and the physical body.
My goal is to assist you in releasing tensions or blocks in all these areas, to reach your
optimal health. I am also a qualified teacher, both of children and adults and I run family massage
classes, keeping them small for more personal relevance in your life. |
